 With digital home entertainment becoming more complex every day, it's no wonder there's a growing market for on-site geek support. Big market.
 I swear on the big bad branding bible in the sky, I have never noticed the white arrow in the FedEx logo before it was pointed out to me (I believe I read about it on Sigurdssons blog [scroll down a bit]). Here's a good interview with the creator of the logo.
 Congrats to Mads Ryhdal of The Planet for winning Billboard's Web/Downloadable Game of the Year"! Well done, the excellent Shroomz game can be played here, good stuff for an old Boulderdash fanatic like me.

Jakob Nielsen blir helt filosofisk; Undoing the Industrial Revolution;
The last 200 years have driven centralization and changed the human experience in ways that conflict with evolution. The Internet will reestablish a more balanced, decentralized lifestyle.
 Så glæder det om at hold ørerne lige i munden. Jeg satte mig for at finde en dansk sætning hvor det samme ord kommer så mange gange efter hinanden som muligt (Ligesom i den gamle Får får får? Nej, får får lam) I min løsning skal man forestille sig et mødereferat hvor personen Søren Ågesen(SÅ) der arbejder i et Korn og Foderstof firma skal forbedre marketingindsatsen ift. såsæd;

Google now searches an impressive 8 Billion docs, but it's even more cool that Google Image searches 0.88 Billion images. And perhaps the monopoly has lasted long enough, time for evolution to march on and leave Google behind. Could MSN Search be the Next Big Thing? [Needless to say there's a blog on the new search contender]

 I shall here bring forth four great articles, you will have to read them.
First two from The Onion. Those are made up, but seem completely real;
I Must Take Issue With The Wikipedia Entry For 'Weird Al' Yankovic and Nation's Poor Win Election For Nation's Rich
The next two are completely true, but I wish they were made up; Grim Signs Mark Global Warming and Stop Trying to Persuade Us. The first (scary) one is about the physical environment in which we live, the second is about our phychological environment.
It's starting to come together; Remote for controlling Airport Express. Still some way to go before the fully integrated Apple Digital Home System is here. In the meantime, a good writeup on Microsoft Media Center. There are also other alternatives out there MythTV looks like an interesting homebrew version of the convergence dream that everyone seems to be aiming for.
(Det er pretty wacky at jeg hele tiden switches between dængelsk og dansk, men jeg kan ikke do much about it right now.

 I den fortsatte føljeton "Den kloge narrer den mindre kloge" afsnit 12736 finder vi historien om stand-up komikeren Henrik Bruhns AdWord 101 kursus der fik en tur i DR Kontant's vridemaskine igår. Studerende Thomas Hastrup udtaler i en artikel om sagen i Computerworld;
Altid.

 Below is one of the finest pieces of copywriting I have ever come across. It's been lying dead on my computer for about a decade, I once typed it up from an old Frogdesign ad in the back of some design magazine. I still like it a lot. The last sentence often crosses my mind for some yet unknown reason.
INFOSCAPE
CONCIEVED, WRITTEN AND DESIGNED BY FROGDESIGN
I.E.HOLES
circles, polka dots, whirlpools, spheres, lenses, wheels, air vents, silhouettes, buttons, bubbles, pivots, rings, moons, i.e., hole=visual metaphor of our time?
california i.e., america's premier post-credible state. home of frogdesign and microcosm of america: perforated culture and products to match, but there's more. feeling like yeats-center can't hold, gazes are blank, falcon doesn't respond to falconeer. everything up for grabs, the holes are too big. sensing too much new info, drunk with demographic possibility and die-cut techno-babble. embedded ubiquitous computing, parallel-processing appliances, 500 channel smart furniture. key is microprocessor: hole into which information comes and goes, metaphor of our time. never again pure, never sure, but w. gibson said street finds own uses for tech * inexorably moving toward unseen fin-de-siècle frenzy. holes become landscapes, drips turns to whirlpools, info overload shifts to new pattern recognition. forget about deconstructivism, biomorphism, radical modernism, forget about being pentagram, tibor, frogdesign, april, dumbar, igarashi, milton and rest. forget about buying things to cover childhood wounds * remember better diet, bicycle, body, chaos theory, folk painting, holographic brain model, outdoor exercise, rap, restored auto, sailing, scavenged material-culture collection, speed metal, and water, remember bateson, baudrillard, calvino, coupland, davenport, debord, delillo, lapham, lyotard, murakami, nelson, rozak, remember to see design as culture, as dark serious fun about what is, and what could be. if medium is massage, design is now skin being rubbed * everything we use, buy makes us more human/less human. now is time and place for paradigm shift, mutation to new awareness. new creativity manifested in augmented reality, personalised manufacturing, tools of softness, and optional endless user-customisation. question is always about how tech fits humanity, no other way around. designer can be positive change agent for self, friends, companies, societies. products here offer opportunity to face dreams, fears that center can't hold. like ministry said, 'connect the goddamn dots.' * how shaky our lives seem in hot ozone-riddled march sun, i.e. how seductively globally cool they might yet be if designer becomes way to see, connect and fill ones own holes. *
 The branding backlash is now in full effect. The meme is now in the mainstream, it has even hit Wired.
 It's a lot of fun to do image searches for God and the Devil.

When a player of the virtual world Second Life discovered that another member had erected a huge anatomically correct nude picture of himself facing her in-world property, she asked him to remove it. She didn't rely on that working, however. Instead, she also turned to the game's developer, Linden Lab, for help. She filed an abuse report and asked the company for assistance in resolving the situation.
Douglas Rushkoff on Open Source Currency [In-depth info here]
Enabling the back-end for a truly decentralized marketplace with buyers, sellers, traders, and sharers is the open-source 'killer app' of the next century. So watch out, Alan Greenspan, the wireless bubble may be coming -- but it could be the dollar that gets popped.
Time for a new perspective.
Lad os lukke festen med denne præcise analyse fra Berlingeren;
