 I have 8000 7999 Gmail invitations waiting. Just throw your hands in da air, and wave'em like you just don't care.
 Ordveksling overhørt på vej ud af børnehaven idag;
 Two weak keynotes in a row. Apple announces Dashboard and the guys at Konfabulator says; Cupertino, start your photocopiers. Wired offers a quick roundup of the keynote. I believe that the Spotlight metasearch feature will be very useful.
 Feng Shui is soo last year, now it's Funky Shui all the way.
 What if Homer Simpson was real...?
 A well-respected* new ager jumps ship to the other side. Worth a read.
Underneath all the magic, the wise ghosts, and the never-ending remedies lies a well of pain and loneliness that is immense and overwhelming. I always saw it - I always saw the excruciating truth of my culture, and I thought I could help. That I didn't help - not truly - is possibly the greatest devastation of my life. I need to heal from being a healer.
*By other new agers.
 In case you missed it in 1970: Bjørn Nørgaard hesteofring i Quicktime format. Godt vi har internet.
 Interview with Will Smith @ Wired;
You turned down the part of Neo in The Matrix - any regrets?
You know, The Matrix is a difficult concept to pitch. In the pitch, I just didn't see it. I watched Keanu's performance - and very rarely do I say this - but I would have messed it up. I would have absolutely messed up The Matrix.
[Well, they managed to do that pretty well without you. Mess it up, that is]
 Aaah, that is so cute, a video iPod with sliding action. Too bad it's not real. Same goes for this beautiful clip done by Kdlab. [Via yet-another article from Wired news]
Also, excellent collection of top-class music videos.
 Still funny after all this time; BlackPeopleLoveUs.com especially the letters.
 Found this on the net while I was trying to get some writing done;
Being a good writer is 3% talent, 97% not being distracted by the internet
 I den nye nostalgiske serie "Overskrifter jeg husker" bringer vi her to af slagsen;
Jøderne i Hakkebakkeskoven
 The concept of Gmail worries me a bit, and now I can back up my so far unfounded fear with Gmail-is-too-creepy.com.
Also, a very well written counterattack on Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 movie. I quite like MM but there's two sides to every story.
|irony off|
 Long but very usable title on this article Six Steps to Better Interviews and Simplified Task Analysis. Worth reading for all you Jakob Nielsen wannabees out there.
[Via Flix.]
 About the 80/20 rule (Pareto's Principle);
The 80/20 Rule means that in anything a few (20 percent) are vital and many(80 percent) are trivial. In Pareto's case it meant 20 percent of the people owned 80 percent of the wealth. In Juran's initial work he identified 20 percent of the defects causing 80 percent of the problems. Project Managers know that 20 percent of the work (the first 10 percent and the last 10 percent) consume 80 percent of your time and resources. You can apply the 80/20 Rule to almost anything, from the science of management to the physical world.
 The last one is priceless...
 Blogspam er et stigende problem...
 Et sjovt online sted at hænge ud er "Happy Fun Slander Corner" på good ol' Fuckedcompany.com. Her blev en fyr for nogen tid siden beskyldt for ikke at være en rigtig mand. Hans svar kommer her;
As to being a man, well, I've never had a woman leave me, I've sired 3 boys and a girl, I spend tons of time with them, I give to the community and spend time reading and teaching in the school, my wife adores me as do her friends, my in laws ask me for advice, my folks are some of my best friends, I've voted in every election since I could, I've never backed down from a fight, and only lost one (to an aborigine who was 11 when I was 9), I'm my own boss, moonlight in the local bars on jazz piano, can drink any drunk under the table, and bench double my weight at 12 reps.
 The new dual 2.5 GHz Powermac is (of course) kewl and all that, but this quote from the product page at apple.com is a bit weird;
Writers praise its speed and power, with comments including, ?it?s the fastest Mac I?ve ever used in my entire life
This could be said of virtually every new top-of-the-line computer ever built, couldn't it?

[Update. Nåeh, det er jo dot d k]
 Den der intet nyt har at sige, må ty til arkivet;

 Short story of the day by none other than usability guru Jeffrey Veen. Great.
 Da jeg så Wordsinthemiddle.com kom jeg til at tænke på et gammelt ordsprog;
Kig til højre -Gaskamre. Kig til venstre -Hjernevask. Kig lige frem -Afgrunden. Den eneste vej du kan gå er OP
 Hvem Ka'? Strange.
 It's even worse than it appears; watch the trailer for Fahrenheit 9/11. But also, watch the trailer for the upcoming documentary Michaelmoorehatesamerica.
 This idea could be BIG; A virtual fitness instructor with heartrate monitor etc. Just merge the concept with Counterstrike or Unreal and the fatness problems amongst gamers will be solved...
 So I guess "The Punisher" (and yours truly) is back. In the not-so-memorable 1989 version, 91 people are individually killed, a fairly high body-count at the time. Which reminds me of what has to be one of the best elevator-pitches ever; I recall an interview with the director of the '89 original where he tells what the Punisher is all about;
When The Punisher is in a scene with another person, he kills him. When he is around a building or a car, he blows it up.
There you have it, a very clear and straight-forward pitch. And speaking of bad movies; Can Star Wars Episode II be saved the article asks. I doubt it.
